East Coast Greenway Locations - Amelia Island, St. Marys and Surrounding Areas
Amelia Island & Fernandina Beach, FL and St. Marys & Kingsland, GA are proud participants in the East Coast Greenway project spanning the entire East Coast on land and water and providing a space for human-powered travel and adventure. Locations in the area include:
* Water Ferry Service from Amelia Island to St. Marys. For Ferry Departure Times visit the Amelia River Cruises & Cumberland Sound Ferry Service website.
* A land route along Highway 17, Nassau and Camden County
* A water route along Egan's Creek, Amelia Island
* A land route along Amelia Island Parkway and down First Coast Highway

Bike Riding on Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach
*Fort Clinch State Park: Beautiful canopied roads and many trails. Small fee to enter Park. Park at the Rec Center and ride bike into the park to save a little.
*The Greenway: not paved. Unspoiled. No Fee.
*Fletcher Road, Amelia Parkway Bike Lanes. Traffic can be heavy.
*8th St, 14th St, Citrona Dive, Sadler Road: Ride on the sidewalk. Heavy traffic.
*Historic District: DO NOT RIDE ON THE SIDEWALK.
*South of the Island: Little and Big Talbot State Parks. Fee to enter State Parks.
*Fort George Island: Park at the Ribault Clubhouse. This can be a loop ride that includes Kinsgley Plantation and trails close to the Ribault Clubhouse. Check a the Clubhouse for info about trails. No fee.
*Loop Ride to explore the island. Good places to start in the Historic District or at Main Beach!
