The music video for the country hit 'Whatever It Is' by the Zac Brown Band was filmed on Cumberland Island National Seashore. The video features wonderful scenic film of Cumberland Island. This is the latest hit to climb the charts for the Zac Brown Band, a Georgia-based band from Dahlonega Georgia.

Zac Brown was raised in Dahlonega, Ga. The former restaurant owner started his music career as a solo artist, but in 2004, he formed the Zac Brown Band with bassist John Hopkins and fiddler Jimmy De Martini; more recent additions are guitarist/organist Coy Bowles and drummer Chris Fryar. They average more than 200 shows a year and have sold more than 20,000 CDs independently. The Zac Brown Band has already landed support slots with Sugarland, ZZ Top, Travis Tritt, Etta James, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band, Willie Nelson and BB King. Thanks to all of you who braved the crowds and came to see us during the Shrimp Festival. We had a fantastic night of music with "The Rumba King" and look forward to having him back in the future. May is going to be a great month with lots of great wine and events for you to enjoy.
Saturday May 9th, 5:30 - 8:30 pm- Artrageous Artwalk Stop in and experience first hand the wonderful portrait art of our new artist in residence, Paul Massing. Paul's wonderful paintings all feature local models, come in and see a familiar face! As always we will have a tasting of some great wine to go with the great art.
Thursday May 21, 5:30-7 pm- Marquis Phillips Wine Tasting Ben Duguid, wine representative from Republic National Distributors, will be here to pour the "most delicious, power packed wines on the planet", Marquis Phillips. These wines are a collaboration between American Dan Philips and Australian wine makers (originally Sparky Marquis of Molly Dooker fame) and are outstanding. Included in the tasting will be the Marquis Philips Merlot, Grenache, Sarah's Blend Red, Holly's blend white and Virgin Chardonnay, a crisp unoaked chardonnay. There will be a $5 tasting fee, redeemable on the purchase of one of the tasting wines.

WASHINGTON, DC, March 30, 2009 - Starship Farragut, an independent film project based on the original series of Star Trek, announced the hosting of an Open House Event on April 17th from 10 AM to 4 PM at its new filming studio just off the corner of Church and Osborne Streets in St. Marys, Georgia. This event is open to the general public and will be a great opportunity to mingle with the cast and crew of Starship Farragut, as well as other fans and enthusiasts from all over the country and be among the first to see Farragut Films' new soundstage and sets. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with VIPs of the Historic St. Marys' community and set tours of the Starship Farragut. Attendees will be able to stand in the transporter room, sit in the Captain's chair or at the Helm/Navigation console, climb aboard the shuttlecraft, walk into a turbolift, and sneak into the Captain's quarters. There will be photo opportunities and autographs with the actors, so bring your cameras. Refreshments will be available for a nominal donation to help defray costs.
In addition to the media and press being at the event, we have confirmed attendance of Star Trek celebrity, Leslie Hoffman. A self-described, "Original Trekkie," she has worked as a stuntwoman in Hollywood for over 30 years, and has worked on both Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek Voyager. The attendance of other Star Trek celebrities still being confirmed as of the date of this official statement.

Saturday April 11, 5:30-8:30 pm- Artrageous Artwalk - stop in and check out the lovely watercolor paintings of our current artist in residence, Louise Mozena and try a free taste of a wine you may not have had before.
Thursday April 16, 5:30-7pm- Wine tasting with Chris Zuments, representing Rocca della Macie vineyards. He will be pouring 5 wines from his portfolio including Velante Pinot Grigio (light, fruity and dry), Planeta Rose' of Syrah (dry, crisp, refreshing), Greco di Tufo (Italian white), Planeta "La Segreta" Nero de Avola blend, and Sasyr, a lovely sangiovese/syrah blend. $5 tasting fee that is refundable on a bottle purchase of the featured wines.
Wednesday April 22, 5:30-7pm - The Intercoastal Wine Company presents a very special event, The Amelia Island Chamber Music public ticket sale combined with a tasting of fine French wines with Clare Hofgren of Stacole Fine Wines. Come taste some lovely wines from France, including Marcel Martin Brut sparkling wine, Chateau de la Dimerie Muscadet (crisp white "seafood" wine with a great mineral finish), Paul Pernot white burgundy (dry, fruit forward), Grands Vins de Bourgogne red Burgundy (Pinot Noir in the french style), and Marquis Chateauneuf du Pape, a beautiful, elegant Rhone wine. Scott's music is a blend of Gipsy King rumba rhythms, traditional Flamenco Palos and passionate Latin/World music melodies.
