From Kingsland Convention & Visitors Bureau - Country Hit Video Features Cumberland Island

The music video for the country hit 'Whatever It Is' by the Zac Brown Band was filmed on Cumberland Island National Seashore. The video features wonderful scenic film of Cumberland Island. This is the latest hit to climb the charts for the Zac Brown Band, a Georgia-based band from Dahlonega Georgia.

Zac Brown was raised in Dahlonega, Ga. The former restaurant owner started his music career as a solo artist, but in 2004, he formed the Zac Brown Band with bassist John Hopkins and fiddler Jimmy De Martini; more recent additions are guitarist/organist Coy Bowles and drummer Chris Fryar. They average more than 200 shows a year and have sold more than 20,000 CDs independently. The Zac Brown Band has already landed support slots with Sugarland, ZZ Top, Travis Tritt, Etta James, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band, Willie Nelson and BB King. Their third album, The Foundation (2008), is on the Live Nation label.

Seeking locals bands to perform at the 2009 Annual Labor Day Catfish Festival on September 5-7, 2009.

Musicians will perform on Sunday (Gospel/Christian music) and Monday to include Country, Pop, Top 40, Rock'n Roll/Light Rock.

Events at Intercoastal Wine Company - Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach

Hello Everyone!

Thanks to all of you who braved the crowds and came to see us during the Shrimp Festival. We had a fantastic night of music with "The Rumba King" and look forward to having him back in the future. May is going to be a great month with lots of great wine and events for you to enjoy.

Saturday May 9th, 5:30 - 8:30 pm- Artrageous Artwalk Stop in and experience first hand the wonderful portrait art of our new artist in residence, Paul Massing. Paul's wonderful paintings all feature local models, come in and see a familiar face! As always we will have a tasting of some great wine to go with the great art.

Thursday May 21, 5:30-7 pm- Marquis Phillips Wine Tasting Ben Duguid, wine representative from Republic National Distributors, will be here to pour the "most delicious, power packed wines on the planet", Marquis Phillips. These wines are a collaboration between American Dan Philips and Australian wine makers (originally Sparky Marquis of Molly Dooker fame) and are outstanding. Included in the tasting will be the Marquis Philips Merlot, Grenache, Sarah's Blend Red, Holly's blend white and Virgin Chardonnay, a crisp unoaked chardonnay. There will be a $5 tasting fee, redeemable on the purchase of one of the tasting wines.

Saturday May 25, 8-11pm- Live Music with MPact Start Memorial Day weekend off right with great music and great wine. MPact is back at the Intercoastal Wine Company playing their great mix of soul, jazz, reggae and blues. There will be a $5 cover and cash bar.
