School System Construction Bid Process Meeting
Tuesday, August 18, from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Hosted by Camden County Chamber of Commerce
Held at the Camden County Ninth Grade Center Lecture Hall

Keep it in Camden "KIIC" is the motto heard around town. In an effort to support the KIIC Campaign, the Camden County Board of Education has partnered with the Camden County Chamber of Commerce.

Over time, the Chamber has received a number of inquires about the school system utilizing local businesses for construction projects. In order to facilitate the learning process, the School System has asked Buckley & Associates to meet with all local contractors, sub-contractors or other construction related businesses interested in the construction bidding process. This meeting will help to answer questions on qualification guidelines, paperwork submission, etc.

The meeting with Buckley & Associates is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18th from 1:30 pm - 3 pm and will be held at the Camden County High School Lecture Hall off Wildcat Drive. All Camden County contractors, etc. are encouraged to attend this very informative meeting.

If you would like to attend, please contact the Chamber at 729-5840 or email
info@camdenchamber.com to reserve your seat. Again, the meeting is for local businesses only.

HURRICANE FOSTERS NEEDED

As you may know, hurricane season began June 1st. A threatening hurricane is a nightmare for the citizens of Camden County as well as the animals. In the event of a mandatory evacuation, the Georgia Department of Agriculture, which regulates the Humane Society, will not allow animals to remain at the Shelter; therefore, we must evacuate. We have a disaster action plan in place and we are constantly recruiting Hurricane Foster Volunteers. We need your help. Please sign up to be a Hurricane Foster Volunteer. If you signed up in years past, please do so again. Contact the shelter for more information at 912-729-7141. Thank you.

Sharon's Shaklee Honoring our American Hero's

For the month of July when you purchase specific Shaklee products $2, $5, $10, $20, or $50 will be donated to the USO. My goal is to raise $2,000 to send to the USO, who has been helping our men and women in uniform while deployed throughout the world.

The USO has been boosting the moral of our military members for many years; they can be seen in airports throughout the United States generally when a group of returning military members is returning home. Each week I'll send out an update and let you know how we are doing. You are welcome to share with your friends and family.

Visit Sharon's website to see details. http://www.shaklee.net/sviellenave
