Intercoastal Wine Company of Amelia Island - April Events


Saturday April 11, 5:30-8:30 pm- Artrageous Artwalk - stop in and check out the lovely watercolor paintings of our current artist in residence, Louise Mozena and try a free taste of a wine you may not have had before.

Thursday April 16, 5:30-7pm- Wine tasting with Chris Zuments, representing Rocca della Macie vineyards. He will be pouring 5 wines from his portfolio including Velante Pinot Grigio (light, fruity and dry), Planeta Rose' of Syrah (dry, crisp, refreshing), Greco di Tufo (Italian white), Planeta "La Segreta" Nero de Avola blend, and Sasyr, a lovely sangiovese/syrah blend. $5 tasting fee that is refundable on a bottle purchase of the featured wines.

Wednesday April 22, 5:30-7pm - The Intercoastal Wine Company presents a very special event, The Amelia Island Chamber Music public ticket sale combined with a tasting of fine French wines with Clare Hofgren of Stacole Fine Wines. Come taste some lovely wines from France, including Marcel Martin Brut sparkling wine, Chateau de la Dimerie Muscadet (crisp white "seafood" wine with a great mineral finish), Paul Pernot white burgundy (dry, fruit forward), Grands Vins de Bourgogne red Burgundy (Pinot Noir in the french style), and Marquis Chateauneuf du Pape, a beautiful, elegant Rhone wine. While you are tasting these exceptional wines take time to purchase your tickets for the 2009 season of the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival (www.aicmf.com). There will be a $5 tasting fee refundable on a bottle purchase of the featured wines.

Friday April 24, 8-11pm- The Intercoastal Wine Company is proud to announce MPact is back!!!! You asked for them, and Mpact, the phenomenal jazz and blues group from Jacksonville will be here again, one night only. Mark your calendars, call your friends and head on down to Intercoastal Wine for an evening of great music and great wine. $5 cover, cash bar.

Wednesday April 29th 5:30-7:30- Mother's Day, your anniversary, her birthday, etc., is on the way. Get mom (or your wife, girlfriend, sweetie) what she really wants-Silpada fine silver jewelry. We will be having a display and sale of this high quality, high fashion affordable silver jewelry with Silpada representative, Natalie Blackwell. Stop in for a FREE wine tasting, try on some lovely pieces and get that special shopping done early.

Our wine of the month is Cupcake Central Coast Chardonnay (you may have tried this at The Beech St. Grill). This lovely chardonnay is rich and decadent at a "not-so-decadent" $14/btl for the month of April. Come stock up it is going fast!

Last but not least, we are looking forward to having some fun during the Shrimp Festival. Saturday May 2nd, 7:30-9:45pm- Scott Bank, better known as the "RumbaKing" will be here to play his special blend if Rumba, Flamenco and other wordly music. Scott's music is a blend of Gipsy King rumba rhythms, traditional Flamenco Palos and passionate Latin/World music melodies. Come down and enjoy a day at the Shrimp festival and end it with an evening of great music. $5 cover, cash bar.
